The Lawscot Foundation has launched its Christmas fundraising appeal, with Baublefest returning in physical form for the first time since 2019.

Virtual baubles will remain available as they have been in recent years, along with real-life decorations that can be placed on the fundraising tree at the Law Society of Scotland’s Edinburgh offices.

The fundraising goal for Baublefest 2022 is to raise £2,500, enough to cover the bursary support for one Lawscot Foundation student for a year.

Law Society of Scotland Vice President Sheila Webster purchased the first bauble to kickstart Baublefest 2022.

Sheila Webster said: “I don’t usually need to be asked twice to get involved with Christmas and festive decorations, especially when it’s in aid of an important cause such as the Lawscot Foundation.

“I put in a special request for the return of Baublefest. I love the idea of the legal sector coming together around a tree to raise funds for the less-advantaged Scottish law students who the Lawscot Foundation supports.”
