We see mentoring as a key element of achieving this aim, and the role of the mentor will be hugely valuable to the successful applicants throughout their qualification process.

Lawscot Foundation mentors are solicitors or trainee solicitors who support, encourage and guide students – known as ‘mentees’ - through their legal education journey as they make the transition from school to university, then later into the workplace.

We will be looking for mentors to support us next year (session 2018/2019). All mentors are required to attend a compulsory training session run by Project Scotland on Wednesday 29 August at the Law Society offices in Edinburgh. The application form is now available. The closing date for applications is 5pm on Friday 3 August.
