Lawscot Foundation seeks new committee members to expand fundraising efforts

The Lawscot Foundation is recruiting new committee members to boost its fundraising efforts to support aspiring solicitors facing socioeconomic barriers.

As the charity celebrates its 10th anniversary, it is looking for volunteers to join its Fundraising Committee to develop a new fundraising strategy, coordinate events and research additional funding opportunities.

Lawscot Foundation spokesperson Amber Shadle said: “As we celebrate 10 years of the Foundation, it is a fitting time to bring on board new perspectives to help diversify our fundraising and grow the charity’s presence in the legal sector.

"Joining the committee is a great way to support the future of the profession. Our sponsors and donors have helped us support more than 100 law students over the past decade, but we want to support many more of the talented young people who apply to the Foundation each year.

“You don’t need to have any fundraising experience to apply, we are simply looking for motivated individuals who are passionate about social mobility in the profession."

Applications to join the committee close at 12 noon on Friday, 7 August. More information about the application process and criteria is available on our website.
