Lawscot Challenge 2025: Glasgow University students triumph in legal skills competition

Yesterday - 22 January 2025 - the Lawscot Challenge returned with a fantastic turnout! Ten students participated on the day in teams that went around five law firms, completing a different legal challenge at each one. The students showcased their legal and workplace skills across five firms: Allan McDougall Solicitors, Natwest, Shepherd and Wedderburn, Burness Paull, and Addleshaw Goddard.

Tom Campbell and Kian Docherty, both third year LLB students at Glasgow University, were the winning team. Pat Thom, the Vice-President 2024/25 of the Law Society, presented them with their prizes. The firms confirmed that all the teams did really well at the challenges, but Tom and Kian were selected as winners because of their combination of understanding and implementing all elements of the tasks they were set.
